Emerald Ash Borer Treatments with Altitude Arborist

Our certified arborists at Altitude Arborist assess ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) presence on a case-by-case basis. High-value trees, structurally sound and integral to your landscape, may qualify for ongoing EAB treatments. Treatment frequency, either annually or biennially, depends on the performed treatment. In some cases, it may be more cost-effective and beneficial to replace low-value ash trees rather than continuing EAB treatments. Immediate removal is crucial for diagnosed EAB-affected ash trees, as they rapidly lose structural integrity, posing a heightened risk of failure and potential devastation.

Stump Grinding

If a customer would like to see the entire tree removed including the stump we can accommodate that! We can grind any size stump. Generally stumps are ground 6-8 inches below the surrounding landscape grade. For many stumps, the grinding will remove a majority of the root ball and some of the lateral roots.

Tree Removal

We own a bucket truck with a 65 foot reach to aid us in the removal of trees where access is adequate. We have arborists on staff capable of hand climbing trees in more remote areas of the landscape where our bucket truck cannot be utilized and the tree is safe to climb and remove.

Emerald Ash Borer Treatment

Ash trees that have been diagnosed with EAB (Emerald Ash Borer) need to be removed as soon as possible. Once a tree has been impacted by EAB, it will lose structural integrity much faster than a typical declining tree, leading to a higher risk of tree failure and potentially devastating outcomes. If your tree is a high-value tree, is overall structurally sound, important to your landscape, or has significant family meaning, it may be a good candidate for ongoing treatments
