- Salary: $26-40 per hour, DOE (higher range of pay is for those with all or most of the desired qualifications)
Where Will You Work
- You will perform services for a wide variety of clients in diverse locations from private gardens and backyards, to public spaces.
- The majority of work time is spent in the field climbing, operating machinery or hand tools, performing arboricultural services, clean-up, and being courteous to clients.
- A small portion of your time will be spent indoors to complete paperwork, and attend meetings and trainings.
What You Need To Bring To The Table
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, safety mindset, reliability, personal integrity, and desire to grow personally and professionally
- Valid CDL driver’s license with a history of responsible driving
- 2+ years experience in the tree care industry
- Experience with chainsaws, stump-grinders and chippers
- Experience with climbing and use of bucket truck
- Experience pruning and felling trees
- High attention to detail
- Physical fitness and ability to work outside at all times in all weather conditions are required.
- Duty modifications may be made during specific seasons throughout the year.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Skills and Certifications that We’d Love You To Have
- ISA Certification or Journeyworker Arborist Certificate
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience training others

What You’ll Be Doing
- Working as a part of a team to create a safe work environment while maintaining a high level of production
- Communicating with clients in the field to perform pre and post-job walk throughs and provide the highest level of customer service
- Performing daily inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure trucks and equipment are safe, prepared, filled, and refueled for each workday
- Completing work order and equipment maintenance records
- Driving chip trucks (non-CDL), bucket trucks (CDL) and grapple trucks (CDL) to various work sites
- Working with the trim crew as a climber with the expectation to teach proper pruning, removal and climbing techniques to crew members who are learning
- Carrying debris including sticks, limbs, and logs to staging areas for chipping
- Operating a chipper and other equipment to dispose of debris
- Using hand and power tools including, but not limited to: hand saws, pole saws, rakes, and blowers and chainsaws once you demonstrate proficiency in safe operation.
- Performing basic maintenance of equipment and tools
- Choosing and inspecting personal protective equipment
- Completing all duties in compliance with ANSI Z133.1, OSHA safety standards, and ANSI A300 Pruning standards

We are family oriented, so we do not schedule work on weekends with rare exceptions. We also do not rely on over-time and do our best to stick to a 40 hour maximum work week, with occasional exceptions.
